Target habitat and species
The main objective of Life+Nature Resilfor is to safeguard the formations of beech with local Silver fir through the reconstitution of new groups of Abies alba in areas more appropiate for the future survival and retransmission of species.
Secondary objectives are the reconstruction of groups of Taxus baccata within formation of beech with holly, is and improve the breeding sites of Salamandrina perspicillata, Bombina pachypus, Roselia alpina and Lucanus cervus.
The project seeks to achieve the main objective throught actions that each separately has a secondary goal. Therefore action have been defined wich have the objective of increasing the presence of forest formations of native species including native appenine Silver fir (action c2 and c3), actions that aim to reduce numerical allochthonus silver fir and exotic coniferes (action 4), actions that are intended to provide certified material of native origin (action 1), actions aimed redissemination of Taxus baccata (action C1 and C5) and finally specific action aimed to protecting and promote the expansion of Salamandrina perspicillata, Bombina pachypus, Roselia alpina and Lucanus cervus. (action C6).
